The 911 Handbook

Study Guide Questions

The 911 Handbook Study Guide can be used for group Bible studies, small group discussions, and Sunday School. Each member in your study group needs to purchase his or her own copy of The 911 Handbook for the study. The book is available at most Christian bookstores and through www.amazon.com.

How long is the study?

There is material for 26 lessons of discussion. Although there are 24 chapters in the book, "How to Make Decisions" will take 3 lessons.

How to do I use the study guide?

There are a couple of ways to lead your group. Everyone should read the chapter before the study begins.

Option #1: Simply ask the lesson questions when your group meets.

The group leader can simply ask the questions during the study. If you plan to do this, it would be best to print the answer sheets which have both the questions and answers.

The group leader should ask the questions and give the group members enough time to come up with their own answers. The answer sheets are for the group leader's eyes only. If the group is stumped on a question, use the answer sheets to guide the discussion.

Option #2: Hand out the question sheets to each group member ahead of time.

For those who are more discipleship oriented, you can print the questions from our site and pass them out a week before your group meets. The group members can jot down their answers as they read the chapter. They will bring their written answers when your group meets so they can share their thoughts.

How do I prompt and guide the discussion?

Rather than reading the answers, use the answer sheets to prompt discussion. For example, chapter 8 (Comfort Zones) asks, "What is the greatest danger of a comfort zone?" If people are slow to respond, don't read the answer "We can become imprisoned by our comfort zones because they keep us from making necessary changes."

Instead, ask another question using the answer sheet like, "Is it possible comfort zones can imprison us?" "How?"

How do I print the questions?

After you click on the link for your lesson, simply click on "Print" or the picture of the printer at the top of your monitor screen. You can also highlight the lesson, copy and paste it to a new document, and print it that way.
