Home Field Advantage
I heard a college coach say, "It's tough to win on the road, and everyone knows that." They are the same teams, so what's the difference? The audience. It's called the "Home Field Advantage." The majority of people in the seats cheer for the home team, which inspires them. The lack of vocal approval for the opponent can take away the visiting team's motivation. Odds-makers add as many as 7 points to the home team, simply because of their fans' encouragement.
We can gain the "Home Field Advantage" by each other every day. Hebrews 3:13 says, ”Encourage one another day after day as long as it is still called today.”
